Back in 2008, I started this blog with BlogEngine.net as my platform of choice. Despite trying my hardest to stay in the world of .NET for my open source software needs, I succumbed to the allure of the almighty WordPress. Yes yes, I know I made every excuse in the world to justify my decision, but at some point I had to face the facts: WordPress is hands down the best blogging platform available.

So I’m not going to talk about all the great features out of the box, or how awesome the themes and plugins are, or how easy it is to upgrade to the latest version, or how php in general has the open source software realm on lock down. I’m just simply going to keep my head down, take my licks, and try to write my next blog without getting distracted by how awesome WordPress really is
